Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Light Deck?
The Waybearer of Light Deck is a 55-card symbolic tool system designed to support clarity, discernment, sovereignty, reflection, transformation, and conscious action.
Each card represents a distinct Light Tool with its own imagery, function, category, and place within the larger system.
The deck can be used intuitively on its own or explored more deeply through the accompanying 164-page illustrated Codex.
Is this tarot or fortune telling?
No. The Light Deck is not designed to predict the future or provide predetermined answers.
Instead, each card offers a symbolic tool or perspective that can help you examine what is happening now, recognize patterns, explore a question more deeply, and consider your next conscious step.
The card does not make the decision. You do.
What is the Waybearer Codex?
The Waybearer Codex is the 164-page illustrated companion to the Light Deck.
Each of the 55 Light Tools is expanded through story, symbolism, lived experience, mechanics, structure, and practical application. The deck gives you the symbol.
The Codex gives you the architecture behind it. Together, they create a system that can be explored intuitively, studied deliberately, and revisited as your understanding develops.
Do I need to believe in energy work to use the deck?
Not at all. The Light Deck can be approached in many ways.
Some people may experience the tools spiritually or energetically. Others may engage with them symbolically, psychologically, intuitively, creatively, or simply as frameworks for reflection and personal development.
The system is intentionally layered enough to support different ways of understanding and working with it.
How is the deck organized?
The 55 Light Tools are organized through two overlapping frameworks.
First, each belongs to one of five categories: Shields, Keys, Tools, Strategies, and Flow.
Each tool also belongs to one of three alchemical stages: Nigredo, Albedo, and Rubedo.
The categories help describe what kind of function a tool serves.
The alchemical stages help describe where it may operate within a process of transformation.

CREATED BY DAVID KLICK
A decade of experiential practice, leadership, and symbolic exploration culminated in the Waybearer of Light system.
David Klick is the creator of the Waybearer of Light system and architect of the Light Deck and Codex.
The work developed over years of meditation, leadership, personal exploration, symbolic practice, coaching conversations, and direct experience. What began as a growing collection of tools gradually became a structured system designed to support clarity, discernment, sovereignty, transformation, and conscious action.
David’s approach bridges the intuitive and the practical. The Waybearer system is not intended to prescribe fixed answers, but to offer frameworks, symbols, and tools that help people observe more clearly, understand themselves more deeply, and respond to life with greater intention.
The Light Deck is one expression of that larger body of work.
